History

As unique as its origin is its success story. Popular to such an extent that it lent its name to the company which came to be one of Austria’s most successful consumer brands companies.
 

The milestones of a success:

1949
The company was founded as "Agricultural Foodstuffs Industries".

1955
Maresi Alpenmilch: The one-of-a-kind coffee milk in the glass bottle is introduced and the signature
"Maresi girl" with her blonde braids is born.

1974
Entering the service industry with the first partner brand “Dreh & Trink” – the famous children’s drink
in its distinctive plastic bottle.

1991
Foundation of the first foreign subsidiary in Hungary.

1993
Expansion to another neighbouring country: The Czech Republic.

1999
Takeover and expansion of the foodbroker network to Slovakia.

2003/2004
Takeover of the Inzersdorfer, Himmeltau, Shan’shi and Bonelli brands.

2008
Start-up in Romania with own organisation.

2009
Acqusition and integration of the Austrian broker competitor Appelt Ltd.
